This is the visit that exists so the expensive one does not have to. It is a set price of $150 and it covers three things at once: the roof gets inspected, the gutters get cleaned out, and the minor repairs that turn up get done on the spot rather than written into a quote for later. Most roof failures are not dramatic. A vent boot splits, a length of flashing lifts, a few shingles let go in a storm, or the gutters silt up until water sits against the fascia. Every one of those is cheap while it is small and expensive once it has been running into the decking for a season. Booking it before the wet part of the year is the sensible time, though the honest answer is that any time is better than after the ceiling has stained. If something turns up that is genuinely beyond a minor repair, you are told what it is and what it would take, without it being bundled into the visit.
